The other day I wondered what happened to old Schultzie (since Dru didn't end up killing him after all), so I sent him a quick email. This was the response:
Greetings from Ireland! What's best in your part of the world? Outside it is cold and rainy. Just the weather mind you. Tonight we play scotland and which will be a trip because they play in this crap everyday. I'm with the under 17 national team. Ever since I got taken out of Bangladesh I've be traveling the world with us soccer. But, this is my last trip with them as my destiny lays elsewhere.

It seems that anyone who as ever achieved greatness in life has had to overcome something. Or it is thrust upon a person. Well, I feel that I have to go looking for it. My plan, so far as I have one, is to go to the Philippines. Naturally, Peace Corps will be “looking after” me. Even so, My travel is in a legitimate search for a better, more independent life, for physical and psychological freedom. I want to find a niche, a little piece of paradise. I want to create something were before there was little or nothing. I am profoundly rootless and intensely interested in the world around me in all its facets. Yes, I shall go to the Philippines with a pretty definite plan, which at this time is not yet disclosable. Because I don’t even know what it is. You must try to forgive me for not sharing all of my thoughts…
The more little connections we make with the world, the better the world becomes. If more people had/have Peace Corps (International Experience) we wouldn’t be asking the question “why do they Hate us?”

I wonder if this is because of that one high school girl that wouldn't let him sniff her panties. Its just like in Seinfeld when Russell Dalrymple(sp?) leaves as president of NBC to join Greenpeace because Elaine wouldn't go out with him anymore. He died shortly after that.
My bet is he's trippin on some LSD. I know Travis is different, but wow.
i emailed him a couple of times with no response. must have been before he was 'enlightened' by something/one. good luck to him i guess.
it begs to wonder whether the "slice of paradise" he attempts to find will have drywall to put his foot through. or perhaps that's customary, nonverbal communication in manilla for "i have no idea what i'm doing, but i am here to save the world."
